DIY string lights + umbrella stand combo! ✨

I used planters, 2” PVC pipe, and dry-poured quick-set concrete to create a sturdy base for these string light stands! It’s superrrr important to make sure your PVC pipe is level before setting the concrete.

Once it’s solid, just top it off with soil, flowers, or decorative stones.

I use pressure treated 2x2s to make sure they hold up to the weather overtime without cracking or warping, and those just slide straight into the PVC pipe as the post for your string lights or umbrella!

So simple. So satisfying. 😍

Why didn’t I try this sooner?! I had no clue cream cheese was just three ingredients. Lowkey cheaper and healthier too than all the additives in store-bought.

Originally painted the wainscoting Urbane Bronze (Sherwin-Williams), but it felt a little too dark for this hallway. Swapped it for Alabaster—such a soft, warm off-white—and it seriously brightened everything up.

I built the ceiling beams from cedar and mixed up a random combo of stains to get the tone just right (you know how it goes…).

All in all, this hallway makeover came in around $300 for the DIY paneling + faux beams.
Worth it? I definitely think so 😍

✨ Subtle accent wall - this project was a fun one and one of my first DIY’s learning to use power tools. I used 1x4s, 1x6s and ornamental molding inside each of the board and batten boxes. This was a great way to bring subtle interest to our bathroom without being overly busy!

✨ kitchen island - our builder grade kitchen island was in very rough condition so I gave it a makeover by wrapping it in 1x4s and adding my favorite molding to the base to give it more of a custom look. This project was done about 3 1/2 years ago and has held great!

✨ Replacing mirrors - taking off the old square builder grade mirror sounded scarier than it actually was. Using a few shims to pop the mirror off of the wall and replace it with two arched mirrors from Lowe’s added a thoughtful touch to the space!

Home Office Glow-Up: Part Two! 🎨✨

This DIY transformation has me so excited to actually want to work in here. My husband spends the most time in this space, but now it feels inviting enough for all of us. We can even have cozy movie nights in here now!

I finally took the plunge and painted the ceiling. I think the space feels bigger, more complete, and way more intentional. It took me three months of debating, but I’m so glad I went for it 💚
